Write to us
[email protected] reaches the people who make KidCommit. Tell us which phones you and your child use and what happened; a screenshot helps. Never send us your Parent PIN or a sign-in code: we will never ask for them.
Before writing, the Guide may already have the answer: it explains every number on the screen, the chores, the schedule and what to do when something isn’t set up.
For questions about screens at home in general, not just the app, we run a group for parents on Facebook, KidCommit - Parents, Kids & Screens. Anything about your account is best sent by email.
Lost your phone or changed your number
On the sign-in screen of KidCommit Parent, tap “Lost your number?”. We email a code to the address you confirmed in the app. Then enter your new number, the code we text to it and your Parent PIN (another parent’s PIN from your family works too). Your family, children and subscription move to the new number, and every other phone is signed out.
Already signed in with the new number and told your email is taken? Tap “Move my account to this number” right there. This works only with a confirmed email, so confirm yours in Settings, My details. If you can’t use your email, write to us and we’ll help.
Deleting your account or a child
You can delete everything yourself in KidCommit Parent, and it happens immediately:
- A child: open the child, tap the settings button, then “Delete” with the child’s name. Everything about the child is deleted, and their phone is disconnected with its limits lifted.
- Your account: Settings, then “Delete account” at the bottom of the screen. If you’re the only adult in the family, the whole family is deleted: all children, their history and their linked phones. If another adult is in the family, the children stay with them and only your details are deleted.
No longer have the app? Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number you sign in with, and say what to delete. We’ll confirm it’s you and delete it within one month, usually much sooner. This applies to both apps, KidCommit Parent and KidCommit, made by ITexperts SIA.
What stays after deletion: a one-way fingerprint of your phone number, so the free trial is given only once per number (the number itself can’t be recovered from it), and our daily backups, which are overwritten within 14 days. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Your data
Everything we keep about you and your children is visible in the app. To get a copy, correct something or ask a question about privacy, write to [email protected]. We answer within one month.
Subscription and refunds
- Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought in: on iPhone in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions.
- Deleting your KidCommit account doesn’t cancel the subscription; cancel it in the store.
- Refunds are handled by the store: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google in your Google Play order history. If something went wrong on our side, write to us as well.
Early access
KidCommit isn’t in the stores yet. Leave your email and we’ll invite you as soon as we can.
